POSITION SUMMARY
This Accountant will play a key role in the financial monthly accounting close cycle to ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions in accordance with GAAP and RealTruck accounting policies, including accounting, analysis, controls, and reporting. This role will support the Accounting Manager in managing and executing the month-end close process, preparation of various reports, performance of controls, creating journal entries and analyzing the financial results of the business. Work involves a high level of independent judgment, accuracy, and initiative.
CORE FUNCTIONS
Ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions in accordance with GAAP and company policies.Participate in the month-end close process preparing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis and internal reports.Perform internal controls over accounting and financial reporting.Work cross-functionally with other groups to foresee, identify, interpret, and analyze potential accounting risks and issues and recommend practical solutions associated with business transactions.Maintain the highest quality, reliability, and accuracy; analyze reports and collaborate with functional leaders to analyze and understand variances.Support efforts to improve close processes, automation projects and process improvement initiatives.Support in the coordination of the external audit, gather necessary materials and documents and handle other necessary tasks.Assist with other projects or duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or other related degree is required.3 years of progressive accounting and / or finance experience required.Experience using integrated financial systems in a manufacturing environment.Experience with consolidations and reporting, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) preferred.Experience with reconciling balance sheet accounts - Blackline, preferred.Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge
Knowledge of financial systems, including general ledger.Skilled in Microsoft Excel, specifically in pivot tables, vlook-ups, formulas, and functions.Ability to problem solve independently and resourcefully.Strong attention to detail.Ability to think analytically.Ability to break down problems to complete tasks.Function efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Ability to communicate effectively among operations team members and management.About Real Truck
