YOUR OPPORTUNITY As the Accountant for Zegna, you will report to the Senior Accountant, and will partner with company executives, Accounting and Finance teams and business leaders. This role is based in our New York corporate office. HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE Accounting for U.S. and Canadian Subsidiaries. Prepare internal Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet Reports and other analysis as needed Prepaid Expense Amortization Journal Entry and Reconciliation Accrual Journal Entries and Reconciliations Travel and Entertainment Expense posting and reconciliation Prepare Journal Entries and Reconciliations in compliance with group policies and SOX compliance Prepare supporting schedules for financial reports sent to parent company in "BPC" system Submit accurate financial reports to parent company on an ongoing basis Bank Reconciliations Credit Card Reconciliation Prepare documents for Auditors Support staff and management with ad hoc projects Post Journal Entries as needed provided by Senior Accountant, Controller, COO, FP&A Director, and Parent Company Maintain open communication with management and relevant audit committees Support and prepare necessary documentation for internal & external audit scope Obtain, analyze, and evaluate accounting documentation, previous reports, data, flowcharts. Adhere and comply with SOX controls and compliance WHO YOU ARE: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required At least 2 years of related experience in public accounting, retail, fashion, consumer package goods, or CPA firm Proven working experience as Auditor / Compliance Associate Strong computer skills: Excel a must; SAP experience a plus Ability to manage and organize large amounts of information with strong attention to accuracy and detail Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects and concurrent tasks while remaining results and deadline driven Highly detail-oriented and organized Analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively across departmental functions The pay range for this position ranges from $70,000-$80,000 annually. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates' relevant skills and experience.
