QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's or master's degree in AccountingWorking toward CPAPrevious public accounting experience preferredTeam player and ability to work well in a groupDetail and task orientedSolid research and writing skillsExcellent verbal communication and presentation skillsAbility to interact with all levels of staff and clients.A competent working knowledge of accounting and audit software required.Proficient in QuickBooks.
RESPONSIBILITIESUnderstanding clients' needs and expectations, their business and industry, accounting and control systems, employees, company values and industry-related GAAP and GAAS issuesDeveloping an understanding of the audit approach and toolsAssessing risks and evaluating the client's internal control structurePerforming analytics, substantive tests, and tests of internal controls to identify and resolve accounting or reporting issuesDrafting financial statements
