Powder Coat Operator

Essential Functions:Load and unload parts or product onto fixturesPrepare parts for coatingFollow all principles and practices of powder coating applicationOperate all coating equipment including guns, hoppers and booth systemsObserve machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defectsDetermine paint flow, viscosity and coating quality by performing visual inspections or by using viscometersBake parts at appropriate temperatures within time limitationsEnsure that all components are produced/coated efficiently, and are consistent with company established goals for quality before passing on to the next operationPerform proper cleaning and daily maintenance of equipmentMaintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulationsConserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job resultsContribute to team effort by training others in performance of powder coat operations tasks as neededInspect all work and ensure it meets requirements prior to passing it on to the next operationDocument actions by completing production and quality formsRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Must be able to safety use small hand and power toolsMust be able to read and interpret Drawings and Bills of MaterialMust have basic computer skillsMust be able to work in a fast-paced environment with other team membersAbility to effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbally and written, and to communicate instructions to others in a clear, professional and respectful manner.Demonstrated ability to work independently without constant supervisionEducation/Experience:

High School diploma, GED or combination of work experience and skill development required2-4 years' experience working in a manufacturing environment1-2 years' experience working as a painter or powder coat operatorPhysical Demands:
