About the Position
Old Mission is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team in our Chicago, IL office. As a vital member of our accounting department, you will play a key role in maintaining financial records and the month end close process, reviewing and paying of vendor invoices, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles.
Responsibilities
Periodic review of invoices and processing of ACH batches and other forms of invoice paymentPerform general ledger reconciliationsto ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.Execute general ledger accounting tasks in accordance with GAAP standards.Apply accrual accounting methods to accurately reflect financial transactions.Process various cash transactions and wire requestsCollaborate with internal team to provide financial services and support corporate finance initiatives.Required Skills
4+ years experience in accountingStrong knowledge of general ledger reconciliation practicesFamiliarity with budgeting processes and financial planningProficiency in GAAP principles and accrual accounting methodsAbility to work effectively in a team environment and communicate financial information clearlyMust be able to work independently after trainingBachelor's degree in accountingBonus Profile
Experience with Sage Intacct accounting software is a plusExperience with securities trading industry is a plusBenefits and Perks
