POSITION PURPOSE -

Support Home Depot's Risk Management Department, with a special emphasis on monitoring captive financials, supporting The Home Depot internal financial stakeholders, and assisting with all aspects of financial reporting within the Risk Management Department.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES -Build, maintain, and refine processes for monitoring captive financial data to ensure data integrity.Support the design, implementation, and refinement of financial reporting for new insurance coverage in the captive.Provides annual audit data for external, regulatory, and internal audit partners.Track and reconcile claims activity within the captive financials.Prepare, review, and send out monthly reports as required on specific captive programs.Maintains compliance, regulatory and audit documentation to meet specified captive requirements.Highlight discrepancies and/or concerns report findings to appropriate management.Support semi-annual actuarial review processes to ensure actuary findings are accurately incorporated into Home Depot financials and internal financial stakeholders understand the impact of the actuary findings.Perform analysis of data supporting Risk Management and captive related initiatives to provide insights to leadership.Build business partnerships with internal stakeholders (e.g. Treasury, Corporate Governance, Financial Reporting, Tax, Accounting) and provide support to relevant stakeholders to drive operational success for the captive.Oversight of Risk Management operating budget including budget preparation, forecasting, reconciliation, and analysis of variances.Reconcile monthly claims activity.Support FP&A in setting initial retained loss estimates other projects as assigned.REQURIED QUALIFICATIONS -

Experience reviewing financial statementsProficient in Excel, including knowledge of Pivot Tables, and VLOOKUP functionsStrong analytical, problem solving and judgment skillsOrganization, planning and prioritization skillsAbility to manage deadlines and work under pressure at timesPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS -

Knowledge of insurance accountingKnowledge of captive insurance companiesExperience in managing data and building reports for insurance programsExperience with large data sets and consolidating multiple data sets findings in streamlined reportingCertified Public AccountantSAP/Blackline ExperienceExperience with financial audits

NATURE AND SCOPE

- Typically reports to Senior Director of Risk Management with no direct responsibility for supervising others.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS -Must be eighteen years of age or older.Must pass the Drug Test.Must pass the Background Check.Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable.

EDUCATION REQUIRED

- The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -

Most time sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
