Appointments are made on a term-by-term basis. Adjunct faculty are required to successfully complete an online Canvas LMS orientation course before being scheduled, as well as other training if required by the department. This is an on-site blended/hybrid course, students attend class in person 60% of the time and complete the remaining 40% online through Park's Canvas Learning Management System. Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in accounting, or Master's degree in business-related field and professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, CFM, CIA, CFE, etc.), or Master's degree in related field and undergraduate accounting degree, and extensive and substantial documented successful teaching experience in the area of assigned teaching responsibilities, and demonstrate involvement in meaningful research and/or programs for the enhancement of pedagogical skills, or

d. Master's degree and undergraduate accounting degree, and have five or more years of professional accounting experience including work directly related to his/her assigned teaching responsibilities. 2. CPA, CIA, or CFE and have a minimum one year of audit experience. (CPA = Certified Public Accountant, CIA = Certified Internal Auditor, CFE = Certified Fraud Examiner). Professional accounting work would not include accounting clerical work. Resume must be submitted in ACBSP format.

AC430 Auditing Course Description

A study of auditing theory and procedures, including the role of the external audits in financial markets, professional responsibilities of the auditor, risk assessment, and evaluation of evidence to support audit conclusions.
