JOB TITLE:

Accounting Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Accounting Manager oversees the month-end close process. They oversee the accounting department functions with a focus on ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of financial statements and reporting. The Accounting Manager will supervise a team and provide guidance and mentorship.

SALARY:

$105,000-$115,000/year + 7% bonus eligibility

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

Oversee and manage the general accounting functions of the company including, but not limited to general ledger; and corporate, state and local taxesWork closely with accounts payable, accounts receivable and cost accounting.Help with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and oversee the company's internal controls frameworkOversee the monthly close process, ensuring month end close is timely and accurate including booking and approving journal entries and reviewing GL details for accuracyEnsure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled timely as indicated in the SOPManage revenue recognition for the companies, including 3rd party advanced ordering platform revenue and manage the applicable receivables; and reconcile Direct To Consumer (Shopify) transactionsWork with Cost Accountant to review, analyze, reconcile, and record fiscal period inventory, analyzing impact to COGSPresent Bakeries P&Ls and balance sheets to the Controller and CFO as part of the close, including period over period analysisWork closely with finance team to ensure timely and accurate financial analysis and reports are completedAssist with all audits (financial, third party, and other audits)Prepare monthly financial statements for internal useComplete transactional tasks as assigned, including AMEX transactions, Sales uploads, and other transactionsOversee reconciliations of intercompany accountsManage and complete the multi-state sales tax returns for all companies and ensure the company is compliant with the state requirements, including review of 3rd party filings (ie. Avalara)File Other state business tax returnsProcess weekly electronic paymentAssist Controller in reviewing current processes and company policies and recommend improvements, if applicablePerform ad hoc assignments when neededSkills And Experience

Bachelor's degree / master's degree in accounting, Finance, or relevant fieldCPA/CMA certification (or close to completing)4-5 years of experience in full function accounting role6 years industry, public accounting experienceExperience managing direct reportsExperience with Payroll complianceStrong Excel skills with ability to build reports and modelsF&B Retail, Direct to Consumer and CPG experienceNetSuite experience is a plusAbility to work independently, with a team and cross-functionally in a fast-paced, high-volume environment that emphasizes accuracy and timelinessStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsTechnical knowledge of GAAPWillingness to jump in and help when neededExperience in implementing process and change agent in organizationBe unafraid to contribute ideas and spark inspiration and actionBe entrepreneurial in spiritProven ability to be nimble, dynamic, and able to adjust to changing business needsPHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
