We are seeking a talented and dedicated Permanent Paralegal - Defense for our dynamic legal team. This individual will be instrumental in providing high-quality legal support to our defense attorneys. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation support, legal writing, contract law, legal assistance, legal case preparation, legal software, client relations, organization skills, and attention to detail. This role requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role or relevant legal environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions.
  2. Draft legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, motions, discovery requests and responses, and legal memoranda.
  3. Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation.
  4. Utilize legal software for case management, document review, and trial preparation.
  5. Maintain strong client relations, ensuring prompt and effective communication.
  6. Organize and manage files, documents, and exhibits for easy retrieval and use in case preparation and court proceedings.
  7. Assist in contract drafting, review, and interpretation.
  8. Coordinate and manage timelines and deadlines for various legal processes and filings.
  9. Support the legal team with administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in a defense-focused role.
  2. Paralegal certification or equivalent legal degree.
  3. Proficient in litigation support, legal writing, contract law, and legal case preparation.
  4. Experience with legal software for case management and document review.
  5. Excellent client relations skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with clients, attorneys, and court personnel.
  6. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines concurrently.
  7. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
  8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  9. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
