Title: Solidworks/ CAD Engineer

Location: Chatsworth, CA

Salary: $38- $45/hr

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and design 3D models and 2D drawings using Solidworks/CAD software.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and provide viable engineering solutions.
3. Conduct design reviews, tolerance analysis, and FEA to ensure design integrity and quality.
4. Develop and maintain engineering documentation like BOMs, assembly instructions, and test procedures.
5. Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring all deadlines are met.
6. Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for design issues.
7. Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members.
8. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to improve design efficiency and performance.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Solidworks/CAD Engineer.
3. Proficient in Solidworks/CAD software with a strong understanding of mechanical design principles.
4. Experience in manufacturing processes, materials, and product development.
5. Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
6. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
8. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
9. Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
10. Experience in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is a plus.
11. Familiarity with ISO standards and quality management systems is desirable.
12. Proficiency in other CAD software like AutoCAD, Inventor, CATIA, etc., will be an added advantage.
