The Medium Truck Driver will perform daily round trips to pick up and deliver varying numbers of packages.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate medium-sized cargo truck
- Complete round trip mail pickup service within expected time frame, achieving a 99.75% on-time delivery rate
- Interface with DoS and USPS employees and/or contractors to complete mail pickup and delivery
- Comply with all security regulations and procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of truck, to include daily mopping of cargo bay and clean-up of cab area
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Highschool diploma or GED required
- Valid driver’s license
- State verification of safe driving record
- Public Trust required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to lift 70 pounds
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to resolve issues in satisfactory manner
