Job Details:

As a Permanent Staff Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in our dynamic finance team. Your expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, auditing, and forecasting will be instrumental in driving our company's financial health and profitability. In this position, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounting operations, from financial statement preparation to budget analysis and financial reporting. You will work closely with other departments to ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data across the organization. This position offers an exciting opportunity for experienced accountants to apply their skills in a challenging and rewarding environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage all aspects of day-to-day accounting operations including billing, financial statements, general ledger, cost accounting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, and tax compliance.
  2. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  3. Conduct detailed budget analysis and provide financial forecasts for the organization.
  4. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
  5. Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.
  6. Work closely with the finance team to streamline accounting functions and operations.
  7. Provide detailed analyses and explanations of all transactions.
  8. Prepare documentation for external auditors.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a staff accountant role or similar.
  3. CPA or CMA certification is an advantage.
  4. Strong understanding of accounting theory and GAAP.
  5. High proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Quickbooks, SAP).
  6. Excellent analytical skills with a thorough attention to detail.
  7. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  8. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines.
  9. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
  10. Proven experience with financial reporting, financial data analysis, auditing, and forecasting.
  11. Demonstrated ability to work well with a team and collaborate with various departments.
  12. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
