Responsibilities

Analyze monthly and quarterly results regarding facility performance vs budget, forecast, and prior periods; provide thoughtful insight and recommendations on the business’ trajectoryDrive decision making using analytics (e.g. contribution margin, cash generation, benchmarking, other ad hoc requests) to support initiatives of the Financial Operations and Operations teamGenerate standard monthly operating/financial reports and actively participate on monthly review calls with VP Operations, Finance Lead and Group PresidentAssemble presentations for quarterly surgery center and joint venture board meetingsBuild financial models and projections for transactions with new physician investors and potential mergersWork with VP Operations and Director Financial Operations to lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes and assist in presentation to senior leadershipCommunicate effectively and engage with senior leadership of various external stakeholders to drive efficient processes that deliver optimum resultsFrequently engage and collaborate with senior leadership in supporting implementation of key initiatives to improve financial performance

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business field required – Finance/Economics/Accounting3-5 years of experience preferredQualified candidate will be highly analytical, a critical thinker, intellectually curious, with decision making skillsUnderstanding of basic accounting principles and familiarity with financial statements/reportingAbility to digest financial information, render judgment, create context, and recognize patternsConsistently meets deadlines, maintain attention to detail, and manage conflicting prioritiesAbility to self-start, problem solve and present opportunities for continuous improvementVery proficient to expert level using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
