The CRE Portfolio Manager will manage a portfolio of existing commercial real estate banking customer relationships as assigned by the commercial banking team leader or department manager. The incumbent will have overall responsibility for the daily servicing of these commercial relationships, which involves the management of existing loan and deposit accounts.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Underwrite commercial real estate loans and complete approval packages which accurately identifies and assesses risk.
  • Ensure loans are underwritten in accordance with Bank policy.
  • Manage portfolio of existing loans.
  • Work closely with the Team Leader or Department Manager to support the credit administration needs of that Manager's customer portfolio.
  • Liaise with customers to develop information concerning their business, financial condition, and operating performance, as well as to evaluate financing needs.
  • The work experience and training of the individual would dictate the complexity of the customer relationships managed, any credit authority extended, and the designation of the Portfolio Manager.
  • The incumbent will be required to travel within the bank's "footprint" to branch locations and visit commercial customers at their projects and/or place of business.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a business-related field, or equivalent experience is required.
  • Must have minimum of 5 years of relevant banking or commercial real estate experience.
  • Total relevant banking experience may be in the areas of Commercial Credit Administration, Commercial Real Estate, Middle Market.
  • Must have superior customer service skills.
  • Must have strong underwriting skills and the ability to prepare loan packages for approval.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as excellent listening ability and presentation skills.
  • Must have excellent attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Prior nCino experience is preferred.
