Details of this critical opening follow:Business Development & Broker Management - Utilize and develop personal and business relationships with P&C brokers and producers to produce new account opportunities for the Commercial Insurance Multinational division of Chubb.Territory Management - Execute on the sales and marketing plan for assigned territory, ensuring that monthly broker calls are scheduled and administered in an effective fashion in order to drive new business and retain existing accountsQuote to Win - Review new business submissions to understand the nature of the international exposures. Be knowledgeable about the incumbent's current offering as well as the offering of other markets. - utilize this analysis to produce and deliver winning quotesService Brokers and Clients to Grow - Work with brokers and clients to understand and respond to evolving client needs driven by international market expansion and acquisition or through changes in geographic footprint and program structureUnderstand and Manage Risk - Embrace the challenge of producing and underwriting profitable new business opportunities. Nature of operations, deal structure, quality of information, an understanding of US and local country requirements, and Chubb's industry-leading multinational capabilities are all key to putting the right business on the books and growing profitably over time.Major Duties and Responsibilities

Solicits new and renewal submissions from brokersDetermines terms and conditions and complex rating plansBinds coverageDocuments the underwriting filesHandles more complex files and portfolios within underwriting authorityMinimum Requirements

Knowledge of insurance industryKnowledge of underwriting concepts, practices, and proceduresBachelors' degree1-3 years of Underwriting experienceQualifications

Desired Qualifications

Knowledge of Controlled Master Programs and international casualty underwriting principles highly desirableWe are looking for extraverts that enjoy marketing and selling themselves and a great product to customersWe are looking for competitive people who want to winSales experience preferred but not requiredOutstanding Interpersonal Skills. Ability to establish trust and effective working relationships with team, field marketing and customerSuperior communication (oral and written), interpersonal and negotiating skillsGreat technology skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) and internet marketing skills are a plus

Qualified candidates must possess a strong understanding of Property and Casualty insurance concepts and products as evidenced by successful experience in the Property and Casualty insurance area, analytical ability to be capable of judging the feasibility of underwriting risks within assigned areas, ability to function in a department which develops several million dollars in premium annually through handling a large volume of small premium accounts, and ability to meet or succeed transaction time standards set by the team manager by adhering to sound time management practices. International insurance experience is preferred.
