MANY OPPORTUNITIES...Technical Business Development Manager General Duties:The Technical Business Development Manager is responsible for account management and technical responsibilities to include developing strong relationships with customers, providing technical guidance to internal stakeholders and clients to with respect to manufacturing process / design / cost, preparing sales reports along with working with engineering, suppliers, and commercial leads to develop new offerings for current and prospective customers.Specific Duties:Define process equipment requirements to meet market needs and medical device industry standards.Prepare engineering design qualifications for equipment.Develop product specification documentation for medical devices.Develop key strategic relationships with raw material vendor vendors and customers.Coordinate transition of new business wins to new product introduction (NPI) team. Support NPI programs as needed through production launch. Review existing manufacturing programs from a sourcing, manufacturing, equipment, and tooling standpoint and drive changes that result in meaningful savings opportunities. Coordinate RFPs with sourcing team and provide technical guidance to support quoting process.Identify, qualify, and implement process modifications and improvements.Prepare Capital Appropriation requests and justification for equipment as required.Evaluate and implement cost savings opportunities for the equipment and facilities.Manage and collaborate on commercialization of projects.Document project work as it is undertaken, including formal project progress reports. As necessary, use project planning and estimating techniques.Collaborate with Operations to assess and complete operational costs for new projects and assist with completing cost cards, business cases, and ROI's.Qualifications: Investigate possible solutions to engineering problems, exercising innovation and engineering judgment to identify the optimum method or technique for undertaking the work.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications/Skills Required:Experience working directly with customers in a regulatory environment, preferably ISO 13485.Ability to analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problemsPrior experience creating P&L models in a contract manufacturing environment. Understanding of financial terminology or metrics specific to a manufacturing environment. MBA desired.Working knowledge of manufacturing materials and processes common to medical manufacturing, such as injection molding, manual and automated assembly, thermoforming, heat sealing, RF welding, and various packaging processes.Superior computer skills and ability to set up functions, enter data, and process information (Microsoft Office products; Excellent Excel skills required; previous ERP experience)Professional communication skills are essential; demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence key stakeholders at all levels of the organizationExperience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needsExceptional ability to conceptualize large-picture projects and foresee challenges and needs to be addressedTravel required between Tennessee facilities and assigned customers as neededProven ability to prioritize multiple account management projects at one time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilitiesStrong verbal and written communication skillsBasic understanding or experience in an FDA regulated environment - preferredExperience with CRM softwareEducation / Experience Required:Bachelor's degree in engineering or business or related field. MBA desired.Five years of related accounts payable experience, including lead or supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.Team Technologies is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
