Job Summary:The Quality Manager will lead the quality assurance team and ensure that all products meet quality standards. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining the quality management system, processes and procedures, collaborating with various departments to support operational activities, and adhering to customer specific requirements.Duties/Responsibilities:The Quality Manager will lead our Quality Department and work cross-functionally with the rest of the company.This role will manage and maintain the ISO-9001 and IATF 16949 QMS, lead audits, and manage the Quality team.Will support the development, maintenance, and execution of our quality control standards, policies, and procedures in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements by IATF 16949Will lead, mentor, and manage a team of quality control engineer(s), technician(s), and inspector(s)Collaborate with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Procurement, Sales, and Engineering to identify and address quality-related issues and develop effective solutions.Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve product/process quality and operational efficiency.Conduct thorough inspections and audits of products/processes at various stages to identify defects, deviations, or non-conformities.Analyze data and trends to identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions.Participate in the development and execution of training programs to ensure that all team members are well-versed in quality control protocols and standards.Communicate and collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure the quality of incoming materials, components and services.Prepare and present quality control reports and metrics to senior management.Abide by all Company policies and procedures as stated in the Employee Handbook.Abide by all Company safety standards and requirements.Interacts with Customers in a timely manner regarding Quality concerns, technical issues, corrective actions, preventive actions, and website maintenance through Customer portals as appropriateRequired Skills/Abilities:Experience in implementing and managing ISO 9001, IATF 9001Manufacturing/industry experience.Quality inspection, inspection equipment and management experience.Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate at all levels externally as well as within the organization.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Excellent sales and customer service skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong supervisory and leadership skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.Experience leading a team of quality professionals, auditors & technicians.Strong problem-solving skills using methods such as 8-D, PFMEA, six-sigma, SPC and MSA.Proven CAPA managementAbility to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and have knowledge and understanding of Quality Management Systems and related software packages.Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in a related technical field or equivalent.Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in related field and position.Proven track record in application and use of Quality Disciplines, including QMS certification to industry standards (i.e. ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 13485, AIAG Core Tools, CQI)Certified Quality Auditor in IATF 16949 or related training certificateExcellent management and communication skillsPhysical Requirements:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.Equal Opportunity Employer/Vet/Disabled.
