About the Role

We are seeking a Licensed Civil/Drainage Engineer with 15-20 years of experience working in a consulting environment on projects related to drainage, stormwater management, site civil design, and underground utilities. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing design standards, reviewing subordinate staff’s work, and stamping plans. This is a key position where you’ll be the civil technical liaison with clients, ensuring high-quality project execution from concept to completion.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed design calculations and engineering analysis for civil projects.
  • Create schematics and construction plans for both new developments and renovation projects.
  • Collaborate with multiple disciplines to integrate design aspects across project teams.
  • Prepare technical specifications and ensure compliance with current building codes and industry standards.
  • Develop project budgets and cost estimates for civil and drainage projects.
  • Ensure project safety is in line with applicable codes and resolve any safety issues promptly.
  • Oversee project timelines, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of work for you and your team.
  • Coordinate project execution to maintain scope, budget, and schedule from start to finish.
  • Act as the technical liaison between the firm and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Contribute to project reports and documentation as required by clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
  • Strong knowledge of current building codes and civil engineering industry standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, MicroStation, and AutoCAD.
  • Experience with design management systems and civil-specific design software.
  • Excellent mathematical, leadership, and time-management skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal communication abilities.
