POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for ensuring that all accounting activities in the Cage/Club Department are performed accurately and efficiently, in accordance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations of the Gaming Commission, Federal and State Tax Commissions, established company policies, minimum internal controls as it pertains to Spokane Tribe Resort & Casino and the Cage/Club department; and assisting team members and guests with transactions for balancing various bank drawers within the cage department, and maintaining accuracy throughout all phases of the balancing process

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure adherence to regulatory agencies, i.e., Gaming Commission, State, and Federal.

Provide excellent guest service.

Monitor team members within the Cage / Club department to ensure guest service standards are being executed.

Supervise all transactions and documentation that flow through the Vault, including, but not limited to Table Games fills and credits, the receipt and distribution of the ATM and ticket redemption kiosk funds, gift certificates, gift cards, revenue banks and buy/Sells from the cashier's cage.

Respond promptly to common inquiries or complaints from guests and team members, and follow up appropriately.

Accurately balance assigned banks on scheduled shifts.

Assist various departments in counting gratuities.

Redeem foreign currency, computing accurate exchange rates and ensuring that it is posted daily.

Access funds and ensure prompt distribution to appropriate areas of property.

Ensure proper implementation of departmental policies and procedures.

Assist Cage/Club Shift Managers in preparing staff performance evaluations; corrective actions, and other administrative duties, as assigned.

Assist the Cage/Club Shift Manager in monitoring ATM machines and CEK machines on site are maintained and functional at all times, this includes fills.

Facilitate the flow of accurate information, by meeting with staff regularly.

Accountable for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records, reports, and confidentiality.

Coach and train team members to ensure all duties and responsibilities are performed to the highest degree.

Maintain a working knowledge of our database system to perform duties with the promotional tracking system.

Research, order and monitor stock of supplies for the Players Club.

Open and track status of all on-going projects to ensure that all deadlines are met and materials are delivered on time.

Maintain a working knowledge of the facilities amenities as well as current and upcoming special events/promotions in order to advise guests and other team members. It is the responsibility of the Cage / Club Supervisor to ensure that the Cage / Club staff have the information (hold team meetings and request information from Marketing) and tools needed to effectively perform their position.

Assist staff with carrying out promotions and special events.

Act as guest service liaison with Casino to ensure the needs of the casino guests are met.

Ensure effective communication in the Player Development Department in order to maintain a constant flow of information.

Other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

High School diploma or GED preferred. Some college courses in Banking and Finance or related areas are preferred.

Previous supervisory experience.

Two (2) years of progressive leadership experience in casino cage operations. Advanced mathematic acumen.

Excellent Guest Service skills.

Demonstrate ability to lead, evaluate, and coach team members to perform at the highest levels,

Demonstrate ability to work independently and use good judgment.

Exhibit excellent administrative and communication skills, both oral and written.

Successfully complete various tasks and duties simultaneously.

While performing the duties of this job the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. You may be subject to secondhand smoke when in the casino environment.

REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIESIn addition to the other duties described herein, every team member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:

Obtain and maintain a License B with Spokane Tribal Gaming Commission.

Attend required training sessions offered by the Casinos.

Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.

Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.

Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the team member's department.

Consult Internal Control Procedures and Policy Manuals for guidance.

Report illegal activity to Security or the appropriate levels of Management.
