Our Colorado County Client is actively searching for a

Business Intelligence Architect/Developer.

Please take a look at the notes below!3-month contract - flexible work week 4 10s-We expect this person to work about one day per week onsite though that may vary.-We typically work 10 hours per day (Monday-Thursday) though there is some flexibility in case a person would prefer to work 8 hours per day (Monday-Friday). There is no overtime expected.-This contract is for 3 months but, if it goes well, there is a possibility we will extend it.Position is open only to Colorado residents. Interviews will be done virtually, but work will be hybrid. We have a flexible work week (ex. four 10s, five 8s).We are looking for an experienced Analytics Engineer to help design and implement effective data architecture to support business intelligence and analytics reporting across Jefferson County, Colorado. The ideal candidate will have experience working with directly with stakeholders to deliver advanced analytics and reporting solutions.This position will work with the Business Intelligence team within the Business Innovation & Technology department at Jefferson County. We are an award-winning, nationally recognized team that brings new and improved services to the community. The business intelligence solutions we build allow county staff to make data-driven decisions about their operations and services.Essential Duties:Create, champion and implement data modeling and architecture standards to support advanced analytics and reportingCollaborate with analysts and stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver robust data modelsDesign, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Fabric and other Azure services.Optimize and manage data storage solutions including Azure SQL Database and Azure Blob StorageDevelop and maintain documentation for data processes, architectures, and workflows.Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and workflows to ensure optimal performance.Required Knowledge and Skills:Proven experience as an Analytics Engineer or similar role, with a strong focus on Azure and Power BIExperience developing and implementing data architecture within a cloud-based solution (ex Azure, Snowflake, AWS, GCP)Experience with Microsoft Azure including Azure SQL Database and Azure Synapse AnalyticsExperience with SQL, SQL Server, and DAXStrong analytical and problem-solving skills balanced with a creative mindsetPreferred Knowledge and Skills:Experience in data lake or lakehouse developmentExperience with implementing solutions in Microsoft FabricExperience in Power BI or other BI tools (ex Tableau, Looker, etc)Experience using Python in developing analytics solutionsMicrosoft Azure or Power BI CertificationsQualifications:Bachelors degree and a minimum of five years experience in a full-time data analytics role or equivalent using Microsoft technologies. Prefer a major in computer science, information systems, information technology, software engineering, or related field of study.
