Advanced Practice Provider for the Cuyahoga County Jail. There is a wide range of presentations in the jail necessitating broad knowledge and experience in general and urgent care medicine. The patient population is medically diverse and rewarding.If you have a passion for caring for the underserved and appreciate the challenge of the setting, where presentations can mask deeper medical problems with great need, we want you.The MetroHealth System offers a competitive compensation package, health insurance, paid time off, CME opportunities, and an impressive pension program with a generous employer match through the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS).Nurse Practitioner required credentials:Graduate of an accredited DNP or MSN Advanced Practice Registered Nurse programCurrent RN and APRN license in the state of OhioBoard Certification as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in specialty.Current BLSCurrent Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or obtains within first year of practiceMeets the requirements/qualifications for medical staff clinical privileges in the specialty/department within MetroHealthMaintains a standard care arrangement with physician and renews as required by the Ohio Board of NursingPhysician Assistant required credentials:Graduate of an accredited Doctoral or MS Physician Assistant program.Current PA licensure in the State of Ohio.Board Certification as a Physician Assistant from NCCPCurrent BLSCurrent Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or obtains within first year of practiceMeets the requirements/qualifications for medical staff clinical privileges in the specialty/department within MetroHealthMaintains a supervision agreement with physician and renews as required by the Ohio Board of MedicineAPPs at MetroHealth are afforded voting membership within the medical staff.
