This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. This role supports the Blue Origin Engines business unit, focusing on the testing of engines and propulsion systems. Built for multiple uses, our family of engines is powering the next generation of rockets for commercial, civil, national security, and human spaceflight.As part of a hardworking team of engineers, you will apply standard engineering methods to design, develop, and implement new or revised manufacturing & production processes for the efficient/economical production of aerospace products. You will be responsible for integration of design requirements into processes and procedures through research and development of manufacturing methods, tooling and equipment, facilities, and systems to produce a quality product. You will lead planning and development of engineering artifacts to enable the turning of raw materials into finished and discrete products that satisfy design/system requirements. You will provide guidance to design engineering on technical specifications that will best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques and ensure that production processes and procedures are in compliance with contract specifications and applicable regulations.Special MentionsRelocation providedTravel expected up to 20% of the timeShifts available:

Multiple positions availableResponsibilities include but are not limited to:Develop new rocket engine integration processesTranslate engineering intent, drawings, and configurations into fully functional hardware by developing manufacturing work instructions to clearly define the following manufacturing processes: receiving inspection, integration, test, and maintenanceClosely lead integration build sequence, cost, quality, and schedule of hardware daily throughout the entire manufacturing processWhen non-conformances and escapes are identified, deploy recovery strategies, perform root cause analyses, and run corrective actionsLead hardware configuration and maintain pedigree throughout the entire test processDefine how to prepare hardware for test, qualification, and flightIdentify, develop, and deploy new manufacturing methods (or refine existing ones) to improve quality, reduce cost, and optimize the build scheduleConduct DFMA and PFMEA studies to strengthen the feedback loop between design, build, and testPerform engineering drawing reviews and provide final approval for manufacturingDevelop process control measures and evaluate them through statistical analysisInterface with external suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure that hardware and equipment are manufactured, processed, packaged, and delivered properly, on time, and budgetSupport company-wide initiatives and long-term business goalsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial or Aerospace Engineering (other relevant fields may apply) from an ABET accredited university2+ years of relevant experienceMastery of engineering fundamentals for mechanical design and manufacturingBroad experience in hardware manufacturing: assembly, integration, instrumentation, cleaning, non-destructive testing, leak testing, final acceptance testing of integrated hardware, fabrication, machining, etc.Tried experience and successful track record developing/starting new manufacturing processesStrong intuition and judgment when faced with ambiguity and the need to make high-velocity decisionsStrong written, personal, technical, and software skills (CAD, Scheduling, Issue Tracking, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)Ability to communicate clearly and appropriately at all levels of the organizationAbility to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusionMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Preferred Qualifications:Master of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial or Aerospace Engineering (other relevant fields may apply) from an ABET accredited university4+ years of relevant experienceApplications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the requisition is closed.Inclusivity StatementDon't meet all desired requirements?
