As part of the Operations team, the Collateral Analyst is responsible for reviewing loan documents (collateral packages & trailing documents) for compliance, completeness and accuracy and shipping the packages to the appropriate party within the service-level agreement times. Being a Collateral Analyst involves extensive interaction with clients, other product partners, internal and external legal counsel, lenders, and investors. They are the main point of contact in terms of collateral and are responsible for ensuring timely and consistent execution of collateral related tasks.Responsibilities:Monitor the receipt and tracking of collateral along with the trailing collateral documents.Review original loan documents to verify that they are executed correctly.Communicate any discrepancies found in the loan file review with the appropriate parties (including but not limited to the settlement agent, loan originators, loan processors, closers, and borrowers), and requests corrections and missing documents.Print & execute allonges and assignments for closing packages.Ship collateral packages and trailing documents within SLAsCorrespond with Custodians in terms of updating reporting and facilitating exception clearance.Work with both internal team members and external counterparties to resolve collateral reporting inadequacies and problems.Qualifications:Four-year degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate or EconomicsStrong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracyEffective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced production environment in which performance is based on speed and accuracyHigh comfort level with SQL & ExcelStrives to bring new thoughts and ideas to team to drive innovationParticipate in and drive collaborative efforts to advance tools, technology, and ways of working to better serve an evolving client base
