KHBB Law is a women-owned boutique law firm in downtown Seattle with a focus on all matters involving trusts and estates, including a trust and estate disputes.

We are seeking a litigation legal assistant with at least five years of civil litigation experience. Applicants should be detail oriented and be able to successfully manage multiple projects with varying deadlines while maintaining high levels of quality and professionalism. This professional must exhibit strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and ability to work independently. Other requirements include excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), experience filing in state superior courts, strong word processing skills, proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat, with experience in Smokeball a plus.

Specific duties & responsibilities include:

· Provide litigation support for attorneys, including preparing shell pleadings and other legal documents; coordinate document production; revise, finalize, file and serve pleadings; and coordinate preparation of attorney and court working notebooks.

· Knowledge of state and local court rules, e-filing with King County Superior Court, and filing pleadings in other Washington counties.

· Calendaring hearings, court filing deadlines and other litigation deadlines.

· Communicate directly with clients, outside counsel, and court staff via telephone and email.

· Prepare hearing notebooks and trial exhibits.

· Distribute internal and external mail, schedule meetings, scan, copy, print, and organize documents; open new client matters; maintain electronic files.

The fast pace of the desk requires someone with energy, sound judgment, and experience in managing rapidly changing priorities and deadlines.
