improvements, ensure customer satisfaction and mentor the quality team at the Auburn Hills facilityJob Duties and ResponsibilitiesLead all relevant Quality and cross-functional activities, with particular emphasis on the roll-out, support andappropriate verification of the Dana Quality, Program and APQP Management processes and teams.Lead and support all warranty management and remediation efforts, inclusive of customer relationshipmanagement, contract management, and problem-solving activities to actively manage and minimizewarranty spend.Monitor and drive plant quality activities; customer and supplier (external and internal) quality, customerrelationships, proactive continuous improvement activities, technical problem-solving leadership andactivities, corrective action activities, warranty and field action management.Actively lead safety critical and field action activities as per Dana's Product Safety and Field ActionNotification and Approval Process.Implement and enforce Plant and Corporate Policies and Procedures.Ensure 100% conformance to all customer and Dana policies and requirements.Maintain and improve (and develop or remediate as necessary) quality systems consistent with the customer,Dana and IATF16949 requirements, inclusive of a robust Management Review and auditing processes.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSBachelor degree in a technical field and / or 10 years quality engineering experience in anautomotive manufacturing environment;ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or Tech preferred.Detailed knowledge of ISO 9001:2000 & IATF16949.Management experience in a Union facility.Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing.Expert level in leadership, team building, project planning, and problem solving and analytical skills.Experience in metallurgy, high complexity assembly, and OE warranty is preferred.Strong Knowledge in AIAG core tools; FMEA/PPAP/APQP/MSA and SPC.Computer proficiency in MS Office
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESCompliant ProPLM DatabaseWorking knowledge of Rockwell tester, calipers, and micrometers.Knowledge of quality tools/techniques (APQP, SPC, PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, TS-16949, 3 path 5 why,8D etc).High proficiency in understanding math data, interpretation and part measurement
