Flourish as a clinical stroke neurologist with a vibrant research career! St. Luke’s Health System in Boise, ID is actively recruiting for a Research Director for our System Stroke Program. St. Luke’s is the largest health system in Idaho, with a robust and growing stroke program. Central to our strategic vision is growing our role in clinical trials and research. We are actively recruiting for a highly motivated individual to work as our Stroke Program Research Director.

Protected research time (0.2 FTE protected research time, with potential to grow)
Opportunity for adjunct academic faculty positions
Research Directorship directly supported by St. Luke’s Research Department
Clinical work options include inpatient neurology, outpatient stroke clinic, or combination (0.8 FTE clinical work total)
Excellent work-life balance:
120 - 160 annual clinical shifts
Shift duration 8 – 10 hours; daytime shifts complete by 5:00 pm
Beautiful western mountain location with ample recreation
Highly competitive compensation, benefits, and student loan assistance
HIGHLIGHTS

Systemwide Emergency Dept. teleneurology coverage provided by outside providers, significantly reducing call burden on our neurologists
Generous recruitment incentives could include sign on bonus, student loan repayment, training stipend and relocation
Hospital employed with full benefits, retirement, malpractice, vacation and CME allowance
Medical education opportunities teaching medical students and residents.
Job requirements include a) Board certified/eligible in Adult Neurology, b) Fellowship training in Vascular Neurology, and c) Experience or additional training in medical research.
This Directorship will oversee the research efforts of our system stroke program, including participation in randomized clinical trials, registry participation, and participation in national research collaboratives (eg, NIH StrokeNet). This position will work in close coordination with the St. Luke’s Research Department, including access to their resources dedicated to medical research.
