THE ROLE: Smith-Blair, a Xylem brand, seeks to hire a Quality Control Manager to join their Product Engineering team in Texarkana, Arkansas.
The Quality Control Manager will oversee all aspects of quality and manages quality personnel.
Tracks quality trends and assists manufacturing with quality improvements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages the RMA process and customer returns.
Works with product engineering to design products with less potential for defects.
Tracks quality problems utilizing problem detail reports. Oversees and maintains problem detail reports.
Creates monthly quality reports explaining quality trends including PPM calculations.
Provides technical assistance to Marketing, Field Sales, and Customer Service.
Capable of utilizing and correctly selecting measurement devices from tape measure to Coordinate Measuring machines.
Coordinates returned product testing with Test Engineer
Performs dimensional and material analysis on competitive products.
Carry out special assignments as required by Engineering Manager.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
S. Engineering or Quality related degree
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a quality related management position with extensive experience with ISO 9001.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to train others
Ability to work with little or no supervision
