PeaceHealth is seeking an experienced Per Diem - BC/BE Palliative & Hospice Care physician to join a vibrant multi-disciplinary team in Vancouver, Washington. The PeaceHealth Hospice Care team is dedicated to easing the fears, anxieties, and discomforts that occur during the advanced stages of illness. The team provides a full continuum of care for patients and their families. Medical, spiritual, and emotional assistance helps patients and their families to ease the symptoms of life-threatening illnesses. This opportunity will require traveling throughout Clark and Cowlitz Counties. Candidates with Hospice-Palliative care experience required and a fellowship in Hospice & Palliative Care is highly desired. The ideal candidate will be able to work up to 4+ shifts monthly or one shift weekly.

Ranked the #1 Hospice Care Program in the area with a vibrant outpatient team with one full-time MD, four ARNPs with a growing census of 335+ On-site complex case management team, social workers, chaplain, including the Ray Hickey Hospice House, and a close partnership with the Palliative Care team

Support from multiple trained staff members and the opportunity to grow the service-line within the region

Provides consultation on patient care and management to other physicians whose patients are in hospice care, as well as to members of the hospice interdisciplinary team

Assists in evaluating the provision and scope of medical services

Maintains compliance with regulatory changes, documentation requirements and all procedures related to end of life care
