Together we are empowered to make an even greater impact on the health and well-being of our communities.#HECResponsibilitiesFull spectrum cardiothoracic surgery service at Saint Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington is seeking an experienced surgical Advanced Practice Provider (APP). The Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) will join our well established and cohesive surgical team. Very competitive (regionally and nationally) salary and benefit package.We are seeking a PA/NP with previous cardiac and thoracic surgery experience. Duties will include endoscopic vein harvest, cardiac surgery first assist, Robotic thoracic surgery bedside first assist, ICU/PCU/medical-surgical rounds.Practice details:Full spectrum conventional cardiac and thoracic surgery (except VAD, ECMO and transplant)Consistently achieve highest STS quality metrics - multiyear, multiple 3 StarLow PA/NP and surgeon turnoverHospital based - OR, ICU, PCU, surgical unitsSingle hospital practiceTraditional sternotomy based cardiac surgeriesMinimally invasive mitral valve surgeryAll lung resection surgeries performed with DaVinci XI robotRobotic foregut and esophagusAPP driven service - occasional general surgery resident rotations; no subspecialty specific residents of fellows
QualificationsRequirements:Current WA state license PA/NP (or ability to obtain)Minimum 1 year cardiothoracic surgery as a PA/NPEndoscopic vein harvest - requiredOpen radial harvest - desired, but willing to trainRobotic thoracic/cardiac surgery - desired, but willing to trainICU patient management experience - ventilator, drips, etc.CPR/BLS + ACLS - (or ability to obtain) - required
Pay Range$73.45 - $103.47 /hour
