FlexStaff is seeking a Quality Manager for our client, a leading manufacturer of optics technology for the defense, aerospace and commercial industries.

The Quality Manager is responsible for the quality of all incoming and outgoing material and products as well as production procedures. This role will report to the Operations Director and have direct people management responsibility for Quality Inspection and will work closely with operations, engineering and sales department. This is a hands-on position and will have daily interactions with the production and Engineering team. The site is ITAR regulated.

Highlighted Skills:

Proven leadership skills and experience as a quality manager with a minimum of 10 years

ISO9001 quality system including managing audits and recertification

CMM expertise

A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach

Thorough knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies

Microsoft office and computer literate

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree - preferably in Engineering or equivalent experience

Minimum 5 years of Quality Assurance - preferably in optical components or assemblies or related high precision products.

Minimum 5 year of ISO 9001 required

Experience working in a matrix organization is preferred

Responsibilities:

Ensure products meet quality standards and process and procedures are consistently and diligently applied throughout the company.

Provide strong leadership and management and build your quality control team to meet the current and future needs of the business

Apply total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes. Review and approve corrective actions.

Responsible for maintaining quality system including procedures, work instructions and checklists as well as ensuring it is implemented and followed by all staff.

Ensure internal audits are carried out regularly and defects are addressed in a thorough and timely manner.

Ensure customer issues and complaints relating to quality are investigated, reported and any corrective actions are carried out and monitored for success.

Train staff on optical and mechanical metrology equipment used for inspection.

Understands complex blueprints, GD&T and instructions to comprehend the quality expectations for the product and supplies.

Ensures First Article Inspections are carried out, recorded and customer reports are complete and accurate.

Ensure proper records of testing, information, and various metrics are retained and well accessible.

Inspect procedures of the entire production cycle to ensure they are efficient and comply with safety standards.

Maintain the calibration system.

Environmental testing.

The salary range for this position is $115,000-$130,000/year
