We're looking for an organized, detail-oriented, and experienced paralegal to play an important role on our legal team. You'll draft legal documents such as affidavits, prepare briefs, conduct legal research for trial preparation, and keep case files and other important information neatly organized and easily accessible. Responsibilities: • Draft petitions, waivers, Naturalization, Business visas, U visas, Vawa, T-visas, asylum, TPS, DACA, removal defense paperwork with USCIS, US embassies, and immigration courts • Work with lawyers to prepare for trial by conducting research on legal articles, preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, filing motions, and assisting with client meetings • Gather information about legal issues from the client in interviews • Draft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits under the guidance of a lawyer • Organize our case filing systems to ensure all documents are properly sorted and easy to locate, and other administrative duties as needed Language: • English • Spanish (Required) Qualifications: • Candidates should possess high-level organizational skills and time-management skills • 3+ years of legal service experience under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting • Talented communicator and writer • Have a strong understanding of the following forms and processes: Removal, I-130, I-485, N-400, I-765, I-131, I-526, and I-589 consular processing of immigrant/nonimmigrant visas, and immigration court filings • Understand what documentation is required to support various immigration applications, and have extensive experience organizing application packets in accordance with legal requirements • Be familiar with concepts of immigration and nationality law, such as the requirements for non-immigrant and immigrant visas, admissibility, and deportation • *Have excellent writing skills, including a mastery of English spelling and grammar • *Have excellent communication skills • MUST BE Bilingual Compensation: $35,000- $41,000
