Qualified Candidates:
Must be BC/BE in EM (MD or DO) and EM residency-trainedPossess strong communication skillsExpertise in the evaluation and management of acute medical emergenciesAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with sound judgment and decision-making skillsIncentive/Position Details:
7,400 annual volume7 ED beds24 hours of physician coverageShift times: 7a-7p, 7p-7aTrauma transfers to Methodist Hospital or Methodist Children’s Hospital1099 position - up to 120 hours availableMediTech EMRMethodist ER - Helotes and Methodist Healthcare System:
Methodist ER Helotes is equipped to serve both adults and children. The emergency services team is fully trained to handle a variety of adult and pediatric conditions.Radiology, full-service laboratory and telemetrySpecific on-site diagnostic equipment includes: 64-slice CT scanner, dedicated x-ray suite, ultrasound and telemetry equipmentImmediate intervention for serious emergencies where treatment time is critical with quick transfer capabilities to any Methodist Healthcare facility24-hour monitoring and testing of patients, such as chest pain casesUse of a Picture Archiving Communications System (PACS) to allow staff to electronically transmit any diagnostic image from the Methodist ER Helotes to any Methodist credentialed physician’s office, specialist or any Methodist hospital emergency room for seamless follow-upSan Antonio is home to 2.5 million people and is experiencing solid economic growth in industries such as bioscience and healthcare, aerospace, IT and cybersecurity and green technologies. San Antonio's MSA is expected to add up to 1.1 million new residents and 500,000 new jobs by 2040.
