The Talent Acquisition and Staffing Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring Soccer Shots is equipped with a team of talented and dedicated coaches. This role is focused on identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent while supporting the company’s overall mission of providing excellent soccer instruction to children. As the primary recruiter, the Talent Acquisition and Staffing Coordinator will take ownership of all recruitment activities, from sourcing to onboarding, ensuring staffing needs are met each season.

Primary Responsibilities:

Recruitment and Talent Acquisition

• Achieving Seasonal Staffing Goals: The Talent Acquisition and Staffing Coordinator, along with the Leadership team, will identify the number of coaches needed before each season. This role is responsible for executing recruitment strategies to ensure all locations are fully staffed.

• CareerPlug Management: Maintain Soccer Shots’ active CareerPlug account, updating job postings, reviewing applications, and maintaining communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.

• Career Fairs and Networking: Attend career fairs, especially those at local colleges and community events, to recruit new talent. Represent Soccer Shots professionally to attract qualified candidates.

• Creative Sourcing Strategies: Explore and implement unique recruitment methods, such as social media outreach, local marketing initiatives, and community partnerships to expand the pool of applicants.

Managing the Recruitment Process

• Full-Cycle Recruitment: Oversee the entire hiring process, from initial contact with applicants through to the job offer. This includes conducting interviews, assessments, reference checks, and extending offers.

• Continuous Process Improvement: Regularly assess the effectiveness of the recruitment process, suggesting and implementing improvements to optimize the candidate experience and the quality of hires.

Onboarding and Retention Support

• Onboarding New Hires: Lead the onboarding process, ensuring all required paperwork is completed and that new coaches receive the necessary training and orientation. This includes coaching-specific onboarding to ensure new hires are well-prepared for their roles.

• Employee Records Management: Maintain accurate employee files, ensuring compliance with all local laws and regulations. This includes tracking background checks and certifications, and coordinating renewals as needed.

Ongoing Coach Support

While recruitment is the primary focus, the Talent Acquisition and Staffing Coordinator will also support coaching operations, including:

• Coaching Sessions: This position will coach sessions for children ages 2-8. Up to 15 hours a week could be coaching depending on need.

• Coaching Emergency Support: Manage the coaching phone, being the first point of contact for coaches facing emergencies or scheduling issues.

Administrative and Coaching Responsibilities

During non-recruitment periods, support general administrative duties, such as:

• Preseason logistics and deliveries of marketing materials

• Attending team and departmental meetings

• Marketing events at our partner locations to promote the Soccer Shots Program
