Senior Program Manager
will support the Missile Systems business on key programs that interfaces with our Prime Contract customers. The position will be responsible for all stages of the program life cycle with major customers, managing internal engineering and manufacturing plans, status reporting to customer for development and production orders, and ensuring on time completion of contract obligations.We are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIESFull accountability for cost, schedule and technical performance of assigned programs.Act as primary customer interface with the ability to build and nurture solid business relationships at all levels the organization.Manages and leads stakeholders to determine program objectives and execute on deliverables, progress, risk/issue management, scope and timing; works with cross-functional groups from Operations, Finance, Contracts, etc.Anticipates and actively seeks opportunities to transform the business, eliminate costs through these efforts, make solution recommendations, and provide consistent feedback on improvement opportunities related to current programs process.Responsible for identifying and coordinating resource needs within multiple departments and gathers input from various team leads and SMEs to create and validate comprehensive requirements, rollout plans and test plans for their initiatives.Take ownership of proposal activities, business plans, development of spend plans aligned to a budget and financial terms & conditions of a contract.Participate in the negotiation of contract and contract changes.Establish milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identify program problems and obtains strategic solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.Develop new business or expands the product line with the customer.Ability to establish work policies and standards of performance, generate and improve processes, and work collaboratively with a variety of functional areas.Exemplify behaviors consistent with CAES Ethics & Compliance Program expectations.
Qualifications
Senior Program Manager - Level V - VIMinimum:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Technology, Manufacturing, Math, Science, or Business.Twelve (12)+ years program related experience in developing electronic products from initial design and development thru a manufacturing environment (RF/Microwave products preferred).Strong financial acumen with ability to develop cost models, monitor program financials and overall program execution to defined budgets.Strong leadership skills including the ability to properly motivate and influence.Aerospace and/or defense industry experience including building strong customer relationships.Experience managing complex programs >$25M +.Proven success in managing projects through production material control/scheduling, engineering principles.Active DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain.Preferred:Experience with process improvement, change management.Extensive background in development and manufacturing work in Aerospace and Defense related to weapon, weapon systems, electronic warfare and/or radar systems.Masters of Science or Arts Degree in Business Administration of Finance.Excellent communication and presentation skills at all levels of the organization.Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage time and competing priorities, including handling several assignments concurrently.Salary Range:
$180,000 - $190,000 annually (Level V), $195,000 - $215,000 annually (Level VI) - Colorado Springs - $155,000 - $185,000 annually (Level V), $195,000 - $215,000 annually (Level VI) .
