QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent requiredMust maintain an active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) License registered with the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners (TSBDE)Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) preferredCurrent certification to monitor Nitrous OxideMaintain annual OSHA, HIPAA and Infection Control trainingDental practice management software (Open Dental/Dentrix) experience helpfulBilingual (Spanish) is preferredAbility to travel 10-15% of the timeESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Making Patient Safety and Team Safety the number one priorityAdhering to OSHA and Infection Control ProtocolsMaintaining and upkeeping digital patient informationPreparing tray set-ups according to doctor preferences and planned proceduresKeep exam rooms clean, disinfected, organized, and stocked according to the required standards at the beginning and end of each treatmentEducating patients and parents on the benefits of good oral healthMonitoring the patient's physical and emotional well-being during the entire visitReviewing the patient chart and health history prior to the doctor arrival and reconfirming the patient's chief concernTaking diagnostic quality X-Rays and attaching them to the patient chartHelping the Rodeo Team maintain office cleanliness and IC protocolCompleting daily assignmentsMonitoring and recording patient vital signsSuctioning, cutting sutures, and holding retractorsMixing amalgam, cement, and pulp paste and preparing impression materialsPouring, trimming, and polishing impression traysAssisting with bonding, banding, adjusting, and debonding orthodontic patientsPlacing and cementing bandsSetting up orthodontic brackets and removing excess cement from brackets and bandsMaking retainers, bleaching trays, and impressionsMaintaining crash cart equipment and suppliesWorking with oral and IV sedated patients in office and hospital settingsProviding excellent chairside assistance and anticipating next steps to stay in constant mental synchronization with the doctorEnsuring the patient and parent comprehends the post-op instructionsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
