Job Overview

The QA/QC Manager assists and supports the Project Manager and will be responsible planning, coordinating and developing the project-specific Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Plan that incorporates the policies and procedures necessary to deliver the project fully compliant with the contract documents. Manage, supervise, and administer the implementation of the project-specific QA/QC Plan and QA/QC staff.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for coordinating the QA/QC requirementsPlan implementationsQC reportingQC checklistsReceive, review, forward and track the status of submittalsInitiate, prepare, review, track and distribute RFIsAssist in management of project permit processAssist in preparations of bid packages and procurementUpdate construction schedule based on project team input, Trade Contractor progress, and materials deliveryChange management, including soliciting, receiving, reviewing, and preparing quotations and change ordersTrack and inspect material deliveriesManage and coordinate the three phases of control.Assist in preparation of monthly owner project status reports, as requiredAttend project meetings, as directed by Project Manager and record meeting minutesAssist and/or complete project close-out Communicate and enforce Manhattan's environmental, health and safety management policies Demonstrate commitment to an Injury-free environment through own actions and mentoring othersMaintain accurate contract documentsAssist Project Manager

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of 5 years' experience or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience and construction experience.Must have a minimum of 2 years of QC experienceKnowledge of the construction process, means and methods, and materials, their characteristics, installation procedures and tolerances.The Quality Control Manager is required to have completed the US Army Corp of Engineers Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors course.
