Radiation Therapist I - Radiation Oncology (Lancaster/Antelope Valley) (Full Time) -

Your responsibilities may include a range of procedures, such as IMRT, SRS, SBRT, TBI, TBE, High Dose Rate Brachytherapy, and CT-based simulations. In addition to patient care, you will provide clinical instruction to students, contributing to their education and development in the field. As a successful candidate, you will:Deliver a prescribed and planned course of radiation therapy to patients of all ages.Reinforce recommendations given to patient by healthcare professional concerning reaction to treatment and care of radiated area, prevention, or treatment of generalized and local side effectsPerform simulation procedures as prescribed by physician and assist in dosimetry proceduresPerform daily quality assurance checks on linear accelerators, reporting any variation in morning warm-up. Reports improper equipment operation to appropriate personnelQualificationsYour qualifications should include:High School or equivalent; Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training in an accredited Radiation Therapy Education Program0-3 of related experience, depending on trainingGraduate of an accredited radiologic technology course plus radiation therapy course

Graduate of an accredited Bachelor of Science in Radiation Therapy ProgramLicensed by the California State Department of Health (Certified in Radiation Therapy)Certification by the ARRT - in Radiation Therapy CRTBLS or CPRCity of Hope is an equal opportunity employer.
