THIS POSITION REQUIRES A FULL 3 YEARS OF ICU EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED.Travelers could also float to the sister facility Mercy Gilbert, if needed.Typically, every other weekend is required but might have to work 3 weekends a month if unit is busy and needs extra coverage.Flexibility is a must.Travelers must pass a dysrhythmia exam upon offer with 2 max attempts.There is also a pass/fail Sim Lab on Day 1 of orientation (study guides will be provided with the first day instructions).COVID vaccine is required or declination form with appropriate documentation AND hospital approval.Job Requirements
A full 3 years of current ICU experience.Holding an active BLS, ACLS, NIHSS and AZ license or compact license (TNCC is preferred).Must pass a dysrhythmia exam upon offer with 2 max attempts.Pass/fail Sim Lab on Day 1 of orientation.Schedule Information

Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:2, 1:1.Charge Nurse: Yes, do not take patients.Tele/Monitor Techs on unit: No; RN required to interpret own strip with GE monitors.Scrub Color/Dress Code: Navy.Unit/Department specific orientation: 1-2 days.Common diagnoses/Types of patients include Level 1 trauma cases, COVID, sepsis, ARDS, etc.RNs required to titrate drips: Yes.Common titratable and/or set rate drips include Propofol, fentanyl, versed, precedex, etc.Additional Details
ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications are required.Experience must also include EITHER neuro or CV.UNA Dysrhythmia Exam required 24-48hrs PRIOR TO ACCEPTANCE of a position.Traveler must validate skills for trauma, neuro and specialty devices as needed.Sister units are a medical/cardiac 36 bed ICU & 12 bed overflow ICU.Expectation is to float between all 3 ICUs.Okay with first-time traveler, however, must have 3 years experience with 2 of those years in the ICU.Level 1 trauma experience or neuro experience not required but preferred.Prefer prior experience working at a similar size unit ICU.
