Position SummaryOne temporary hourly-intermittent Work Study Student Assistant position available in University Police.Start DatePosition available on or after October 7, 2024 and ending on or before May 23, 2025. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.Job Description/DutiesDuties include but are not limited to:
Assist with enforcing parking regulations on campus.Assist with greeting and answering inquiries from the campus community as they are received.Assist with answering calls for services over the radio.Assist with data collections.Assist with parking and traffic control during on-campus events.Operate a shuttle cart to transport patrons.Assist with closing of campus buildings.Other duties as assigned.
QualificationsPreferred Qualifications:
Demonstrates excellent writing and note taking skills.Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communications skills.Demonstrates ability to maintain confidentiality.Demonstrates ability to work until midnight on a few weekdays and if needed on weekends during the day.Demonstrates knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel and File Maker programs.Demonstrates ability to take directions.Demonstrates punctuality.Demonstrates ability to work with minimal supervision.Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.Demonstrates thorough knowledge of campus buildings, grounds and parking lots.Required Qualifications:
Clean Driving Record.Valid CA Drivers License.Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester/year in which you are applying.
