Hiring Travel CNC Machinists in Lafayette, IN!Pay: $37/hour + $150 per diemSkills:Strong Experience operating CNC MachinesAbility to perform independent setupAbility to understand Start, Stop, and Recovering program languageAbility to independently perform tool changesAbility to understand written standard work instructions and blueprintsDuties:Using lifting devices such as overhead cranes to move large parts. Will use chains and straps to move materialCycle times vary from 6mintues to 12 hours depending on the machine they are running. Long cycle timesSet up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instrumentsFabricating and modifying parts to make or repair tools or machinesCalculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and quality toolsAlign and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machinesMonitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining processMeasure, examine, and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specificationsSet controls to regulate machining, or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media
