Additionally, the QCM will be responsible for:Develops and writes project specific quality control plans, procedures and audit checklists for all construction duties deemed required.Develop company checklists for quality control that can be used company wideLead quality control audits and inspectionsTrack Identify and implement corrective actions for quality control deficienciesCollaborate with project managers, other departments, and superintendents to ensure quality integration throughout the construction processThorough understanding of contract specifications and manage accountability with Trade-Partners.Prepare and maintain quality control documentation including submittal adherence for materials onsite and conformance with project detailsTrack and report project progress with adherence to project scheduleEstablish testing requirements and procedures in accordance with contract specificationsManage the inspection process and provide field reports of observations to be distributed to the project team.Work with superintendent and/or owners project manager to schedule 3rd party testing onsiteReport on quality control performance and recommend improvements to quality control systemsReview jobs in preconstruction to recommend details to design teams for constructability

Qualifications:

5-10 years of experience in the field: project superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer, or Construction ManagerBachelor's degree or equivalent military experienceA degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Building Construction, Mechanical Engineering, etc. *There are no specific major requirements, however these are the most relevantExperience in hazard identification, safety compliance, and sustainabilityCertifications relevant to quality, engineering etc. may include: Quality Engineer (CQE), Quality Inspector (CQI), Six Sigma, Quality Technician (CQT), ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification, Welding Inspector (CWI)Strong communication skillsShawmut prohibits discrimination against any staff member or applicant on the basis of race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, age, religion, national origin, marital status, veteran status, pregnancy, physical or mental disability, genetic information, disability, creed, citizenship status, or any other legally protected characteristics.
