Posting Summary

The Climate Measurements Center of Excellence (CMeC) aims to improve climate impacts measurement science, so communities have the guidance, tools, and capacities to make effective, equitable climate adaptation plans, protect people from the negative impacts of climate change, and transcend climate risk. The CMeC was established with funding from the National Institute of Standards and Technology and is located within the Gund Institute for Environment.

The Climate Impacts Measurement Center of Excellence ( CMCE ) Program Manager will report to the Center Director and be a core member of the Center. The CMCE Program Manager will implement strategy and priorities; develop and facilitate programming; build and coordinate diverse partnerships; lead communications; design and oversee budgetary and financial systems including contracts and service agreements; and manage administration and logistics. The CMCE Program Manager will work with a dynamic team of UVM faculty, staff, students, and postdocs along with a wide range of external partners to establish and run an impact-focused interdisciplinary national center of excellence.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Bachelor’s degree

Minimum of 3 years of experience in program management or a related field or equivalent education.

Demonstrated program, administrative, and financial support skills.

Strong organizational and project management skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong people skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Experience with budget management and financial reporting.

Familiarity with UVM and sponsor policies is a plus.

Proficiency in using relevant software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, project management software).

Desirable Qualifications

Anticipated Pay Range $48,000 - $62,000
