We're looking for a US Government Finance Technology and Process Expert with experience helping CFOs and senior Finance leaders deliver on technology and process transformation projects within US government finance offices. The successful candidate will possess both subject matter expertise and a passion for modernizing finance systems and improving finance processes.About this roleAnalysts create must-have insights for our clients through published research and client interaction. You will meet with clients every day: in a videoconference or from the stage at a Gartner event. In every client interaction, and every insight you produce, you will help clients solve difficult puzzles that lead to better performance.What you'll doAdvise CFOs and their leadership teams on government finance systems and process modernization through written research and client interactions.Deliver high quality actionable advice through face-to-face and video-based presentations and discussions with clients in a one-on-one or group setting.Remain ahead of the curve on US government finance office trends and needs in order to produce thought leadership research for Gartner clients.What you'll need10+ years of experience working in finance roles in the US Government (ideally multiple agencies) at a federal, state or local level. Experience in government consulting or government contracting also applicable.Demonstrated experience with upgrading finance systems and improving finance processes.Passion for modernizing government finance offices through transformation projects.Strong business acumenBachelor's or equivalent experience, Master's degree preferredAbility to conduct occasional travel, regionally and globallyWho you areTo thrive in this role, it helps if you are obsessed with your topic! Join us.Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 130,000 USD - 165,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
