Manager, Medical Communications
you are responsible for developing and managing customer-facing and internal medical, scientific, and informative communications in collaboration with medical affairs associates. The role focuses on the Americas (North America + Latin America) Medical Affairs region. Communication asset development includes written, video-based, and social media elements in alignment with the medical affairs strategy. T his role is onsite in the Fort Worth, Texas office.
This role reports to the Director of Global Medical Communications.Develops and implements comprehensive communication strategies for medical affairs initiatives, ensuring alignment with global medical affairs objectives and regulatory requirements.Supports the planning and execution of scientific congresses, medical symposia, and other medical activities in alignment with the global medical strategy and publications team.Assist the Medical Director team with the development of scientific materials, including scientific publications, medical education materials, medical information resources, and slide decks for scientific presentations.Leads the implementation of pharma medical communications for the North America region in partnership with global digital medical platforms manager.Supports of the Americas Medical Affairs organization with internal announcements and various communications needs to provide visibility of Alcon Global Medical Affairs organization to both internal and external stakeholders.Utilizes innovation to solve problems across several functions.Provides and circulates approved North America & Latin America medical affairs assets to the organization and tracks the asset portfolio of both regions.Operates as liaison between North America Medical Affairs and Creative Services and Corporate Communications.Develops and implement strategies to enable business goals using digital communication and other tools.Represents the Americas medical communications team in cross-regional and cross-functional interactions in alignment with medical affairs goals and objectives.Responsible for operational objectives and long-term planning.Internal and/or external influencing of key stakeholders to achieve medical / scientific communication objectives aligned with business objectives.What You'll Bring to Alcon :Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs; Assoc.+9 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs; PhD+0 yrs)The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English5 Years of Relevant ExperiencePreferred Qualifications:Master's Degree in a related field5-10 years of experienceHow You Can Thrive at Alcon:Join Alcon's mission to provide outstanding, innovative products and solutions to improve sight, improve lives, and grow your career!Alcon provides robust benefits package including health, life, retirement, flexible time off, and much more!Travel Requirements: up to 10%Relocation assistance: NoSponsorship available: NoATTENTION: Current Alcon Employee/Contingent WorkerIf you are currently an active employee/contingent worker at Alcon, please click the appropriate link below to apply on the Internal Career site.Find Jobs for EmployeesFind Jobs for Contingent WorkerAlcon is an Equal Opportunity Employer and participates in E-Verify.
