Job Summary
The
Hospitalist Advanced Practice Provider
will serve as a Full-Time APP to provide care to patients within the
Department of Medicine at SUNY Upstate Downtown Campus.
Responsibilities will include providing expert level clinical care & coordination of care via a full range of services that will improve quality of patient care assessing & evaluating patients, ordering appropriate laboratory testing & diagnostic studies, arranging for referrals, testing, consultation & therapeutic services, and maintaining outstanding relationships with families, referring physicians & all members of the health care team.
Minimum Qualifications
NYS licensed/registered NP or PA required. Master’s Degree as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant & current National Certification consistent to the clinical practice also required. Have a NPI number and be Medicare enrolled with a Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) (or eligible for Medicare Enrollment within 6 months of hire.
CPR-BLS Certification required at the time of appointment.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in specialty area preferred.
Work Days
Days with rotating nights, weekends and holidays.
