Our client, a Health Center providing affordable healthcare to the underserved and vulnerable in New York City, is hiring a Nurse Practitioner. Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive care to families as well as engage in health promotion activities.Provide care to a panel of adult patients on a continuing basisEvaluation and management of acute and chronic medical conditionsInitial assessment and management of mental health conditionsOrdering and analyzing necessary diagnostic tests using high value care principles and EBM to inform clinical decision-makingPrescribing appropriate treatment and/or medication in an evidence-based manner and within the scope of licensureAdvising patients on treatment recommendations, lifestyle modifications, and age-appropriate preventive screeningsReferring patients for consultant services when necessary.

Certified as a Family Nurse PractitionerA master’s degree is requiredSuccessful completion of an accredited nurse practitioner program is requiredCurrent and valid NYS licenseDEA certificateBLSInfection control certificateAAHIVM certification and/or LGBT health certification is a plus.
