**The Oncology Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant (NP/PA)Assess patients physical and psychological status through interviews, health histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic studiesConduct patient examinations and collect physical condition informationOrder medical equipment, supplies, and various diagnostic tests (e.g., lab tests, X-rays, CT scans)Develop treatment plans in collaboration with physicians, including disease diagnosis and appropriate care plansProvide patient care, including administering injections, immunizations, wound care, and prescribing medications and therapies under supervisionInterpret and evaluate findings from diagnostic studies, ensuring therapeutic plans align with patients ongoing care needsDocument patient history, admission notes, care plans, progress notes, discharge notes, and follow-up lettersSupervise and coordinate the duties of procedural assistants, ensuring departmental policies and standards of care are maintained

Current NYS Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant CertificationCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification***Oncology experience and knowledge
