We are actively seeking experienced Quality Technicians to join and grow in the PPG organization. The Quality Technician will perform support functions to the production business unit by preparing, auditing, and maintaining the necessary tooling and paperwork for all production processes. This is a cross-functional, working role that will ensure quality standards are met by manufacturing staff.

Requirements:

Daily collection of dimensional data paperworkEnter dimensional data into database or spreadsheet(s) as directedPrepare MRB for return to customer(s) by ensuring all appropriate documentation is accurate and completeVisually or mechanically inspect fixtures and gauges prior to useWash and visually inspect aerospace parts to validate dimensional data and core passagesClean fixtures and gauges as needed to ensure optimal performancePrepare fixtures and gauges for calibration; including logistics if necessaryMaintain calibration records and scheduleAssist with internal auditing processAssist quality department staff with annual AS9100 audit(s)Prepare and present quality alert documentation to ensure alerts are effectively communicated to all production staff membersOrganize and maintain production related quality documentationKnowledge, skills, and abilitiesHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredBasic understanding of manufacturing quality systems and standardsBasic understanding of GD&TMinimum 2 years experience in an aerospace manufacturing environmentAbility to use micrometers, height gauges, step pin gauges, and other measuring tools to confirm part conformityFamiliarity with CNC / EDM fixturing templatesExcellent attention to detail(s) is requiredExcellent communication skills requiredAbility and willingness to work in conjunction with; not against manufacturing staffFamiliarity with internal and external auditing processes; including AS9100 and NADCAP

Compensation details:

16-18 Hourly Wage
