Paragon Precision, a Princeton Precision Group company is an industry leader in the aerospace & defense, outer space, and power generation industries. We are actively seeking multiple experienced CNC Machinists to support our Valencia, CA location. Both 1st and 2nd shift schedules are available. This is an opportunity for experienced lathe, mill, or mill/turn machinists to join, and grow in the PPG organization. To be considered CNC Machinists must have 5 or more years of Aerospace industry experience. The specifics of this role change with each new project, flexibility is a key attribute.

Set-up and operate CNC equipment including, but not limited to lathe, mill and / or mill-turn (Okuma, Mori Seiki, Doosan, and Hermle systems) (Fanuc and Heidenhain controllers)Prove out new and existing programs for operatorsEdit programs and adjust machine settings as requiredAdjust feeds and speeds as necessaryPerform first piece cuts according to blueprintPerform light preventative maintenance tasks daily to support machine reliabilityCollaborate and provide reliable input on machining approaches based on parts, materials, etc.Follow instructions according to customer or company specificationsSupport and train additional personnel as requiredFixture and tool design conceptMaintain a clean and organized workspaceKnowledge, skills, and abilitiesHigh school diploma or equivalent5+ years of CNC precision machining experienceAbility to calculate shop math equations with easeComfortable working with prototypes and one of a kind partsComputer literacy is requiredProgramming experience is a plus, but not requiredProven track record with consistent employmentAerospace industry experience requiredAbility to use standard measuring gauges for in-process inspectionStrong problem solving and interpersonal skills requiredAbility to work in a fast-paced, team and results-driven environmentSolid understanding of GD&T with ability to read and interpret drawing requirementsThorough knowledge of machining techniques, cutting tools, feeds and speeds, insert lifeWillingness to demonstrate on-machine aptitudeAbility and willingness to work in a team or minimally supervised environmentWillingness to work overtime as requestedCreative, positive, team-player approach to work and projects alikeCompensationStarting wage is $35.00 per hour with a potential 10% increase within 90 days
