GearTec, Inc, is seeking an experienced Gear Product Engineer to work with our manufacturing and repair facilities having hands-on experience in the industrial gear and gearbox manufacturing industry.The candidate will work with the Engineering Manager and manufacturing to support the following:Diagnose and determine repair scope for incoming gearboxes to be repaired and used gears for supplied for reworkWork with QC inspectors to reverse engineer parts to be repaired or replacedCoordination of disassembly and cleaning process
for gearboxes to ensure timely determination of the scope of workCreate reports and estimates to assist customer service with quotation processReview or create manufacturing routings to process component parts including creating inspection plans as necessaryProvide support to manufacturing including disassembly and assembly of gearboxes ensuring all customer requirements are satisfiedOccasional trips to customer sites to review equipment or provide technical presentationsQUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCEB.S. Mechanical Engineering or B.S.M.E.T. or equivalent work experienceAbility to multi-task, set priorities, meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and organization, set goals, ability to work as part of a team and the ability to interact with all levels of the companyProficient with 3-D Modeling software (preferably AutoCAD Inventor)Knowledge/experience with gear machining and manufacturing processes.Experience in the mechanical drive/power transmission industry preferred (understanding of bearings, shafting, oil seals and supporting housing).Strong written and verbal communication skills.Computer literate with MS Office applications; design experience with Inventor/AutoCad a plus.
